The problem

Heat is the
limiting factor.

Thermal control in extreme environments has become the bottleneck for the next generation of satellites, landers, rovers, hypersonic rockets and aircraft.

01

In orbital space and at hypersonic speed, convection is impossible and conduction is severely constrained. Thermal radiation is the only viable mechanism for shedding waste heat.

02

As spacecraft and hypersonic vehicles get faster, more powerful and more compact, heat and power issues with radiators, leading edges, cold plates and enclosures become glaring failure modes.

03

Higher power means higher operating temperatures — performance loss, operational failures, shortened lifecycles, degradation and thermal breakdown. Millions of dollars in failed missions.

04

Without real innovation in manufacturing, these components simply will not sustainably handle more heat to meet demand.

There is something we can do about it

Efficiently and
sustainably.

Quantum Qool’s proprietary Ultrafast Laser Surface Structuring (ULSS) process enhances the emissivity & surface area of key thermal management components many times over — accelerating cooling by 100%+ by sculpting feature-enhancing nanostructures that radiate heat away fast.

The process removes bottlenecks of heat — “hot spots” — to optimise heat transfer flow. Spacecraft radiators and hypersonic leading edges are ready-made for it. No coatings, films or metamaterials with weeks-to-months lead times that break down in critical high-temperature environments.
